Do we know the minimum required versions of Office that support Catalina? I saw in this post from June, that is was 16.26 for O365/2019 and 16.16.11 for 2016, but that was the testing versions. I'm trying to create a smart groups for computers that can upgrade, and need the minimum versions.

I have a Mac mini (end 2014) updated from 10.14.6 to Catalina today.
The previous Office installation, v15.37 170815, is still working and obviously asking for update (16.16.14 19090900 recommanded is MAU).

Technically all you need is 15.35 and higher as that was 32-bit to 64-bit cutover. However, I'm sure there is much higher version cutover where MS say they officially support it.

Office 2016 (versions 16.16.x) will continue to be supported on macOS 10.10 (Yosemite) and higher until its end of life in October 2020. That's effectively through the lifetime of Catalina.
Office 2019 will follow the new N-2 support policy of "current macOS and prior two macOS versions). Starting with November's release of Office 16.31, only Macs running Catalina, Mojave and High Sierra will continue receiving updates. Office 2019 running on Sierra and lower versions of macOS will stop receiving updates.
The only reason Office 2016 seems to have a longer span of support macOS versions is because their public documentation a long time ago said, "Minimum version: Yosemite". Microsoft has to honor that legally. With Office 2019, they started the new N-2 policy.
