Hi Team,
I am unable to suppress the Help>Support Center (It is directing it to a parallel support page.). Just want an default message to display when i click Support Center.
Help me on this.
1) It would be great if somebody has latest mass deployment tool for parallel 12.
2) Script/key to supress the same.
Thanks Vijendra

Hi,
I just wanted to reply "but that is easy", but on checking the result of my modification I noticed that it did not work as I expected. In fact instead of the custom URL I wanted to have I still get the default Parallels URL :( . Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
About the deployment tool: I think the best is to pick it up directly from Parallels.
Cheers,
Matthias

@Peterson can probably confirm, but the latest version of the deployment tool is 1.2.8.

Interesting, the URL that I posted has a download link to the v11 manual.
Here is a link to the v12 manual.
The URL and both of the PDFs point to the same deployment package which is v1.2.8.

FWIW, the v1.2.8 wrapper tested fine in our LAB, using a local admin account...today we discovered it fails if the user is an AD user. Opening ticket with Parallels Enterprise Support (since we have a vol lic).

Hi Don,
Thanks for the update. I want to know where exactly it fails for you. i mean installation fails in AD user or after the installation you are facing the challenge.
Thanks

Hi Vijendra,
I can't speak for Don, but for me the situation is as follows:
For Paralllels 11.2, built with mass deployment package v1.2.7: If I install the package on a node, local users on that node get directed to the custom support_url. AD users on the same node get a message "Please contact your system administrator."
In fact on the same node the user specific Library/Preferences/com.parallels.Parallels Desktop.plist has an entry for SupportRequestUrl if the account is local, and does not have such an entry if the account is local.
For Parallels 12.0, built with mass deployment package v1.2.8, the situation is slightly different. The com.parallels.Parallels Desktop.plist files show the same differences between local and AD users, but both types of users are send to the Parallels support page when selecting "Help/Support Center" (I don't see a "Help/Support Request..." any more).
Hope this helps,
Matthias
