Question

pulling data from Inventory?

Looking for a pointer to the Inventory database structure, and recommendations on the best way to pull out the data (to feed to other systems).

Thanks,
Dave

Email Jamf support they will give you the schematics of how their database works. They did for me when I was looking at pulling inventory data into our student check out system.

Jamf Support just sent me an article on doing this and I've done the same thing.

Use MySQL Query Browser to construct queries for your other system to use.

Seems like MySQL Query Browser has been EOL'd...any recommendations on an alternative? We've been asked to look into building queries...

Hi Nate,

I pointed the DBA to the link, they asked me to see what's the recommended tool for use on Mac (incase there were any favorites). Not sure if it matters what platform they're on. I'll pass along your recommendations.

Thanks,
Don
