I have a G5 with an Admin account and 2 user accounts. I'd like to push the 2 user accounts (dock settings, desktop settings, permissions, etc) to a bunch of other G5's. I tried building a package with a snapshot BEFORE creating the accounts and a snapshot AFTER creating the accounts, but when I deployed the package, it created the user accounts in the Users folder, but no login for the 2 users at startup.
What am I missing? Is there a simple way to go about this?

Use Casper Policy "Accounts" Pane to create users and push the users settings later.

How would I push the user settings?

Why not create them and then do a Composer capture and install specifics or use MCX?

Create a package with the required user preference file(drag and drop the required files in composer) and push it via Casper Policy/Remote/ ARD. Permission will not change if pushing for the same user name.

So there's no way to push user accounts with settings/permissions with one procedure? I have to create the user accounts on all the G5's (using Casper Policy) and then push the preference file (via Composer & Remote)?

Can you detail exactly what you want to do? I am not sure exactly what you want. If you make MCX templates you can use MCX to apply settings to all user accounts in one swoop.
Can you in greater detail describe what it is you want to accomplish?

I have a lab with 13 G5's. All the software is installed on all of them. I need to create 2 new user accounts on each computer; 1 account called Audio, 1 account called Music. Both accounts have different permissions for apps. All 13 computers must have both of these accounts (along with the Administrator account, which is already there), and all 13 computers must function exactly the same.
Is there a way to set up the 2 new accounts on one computer (set the desktop, set the permissions, set all the preferences), then push those 2 accounts to the remaining 12 computers?
I would think that there would be a simple procedure for this in Casper, since essentially all I'm doing is migrating the accounts to 12 computers (as opposed to using the migration tool in OSX and migrating the accounts to 1 computer at a time).
