I was going to ask if there's a non-"Pro" version, but if Bushel is going to be renamed as "JAMF", then there's my answer. Does this mean that I will now be a "CJA" instead of a "CCA"? It will be hard changing the embroidery on my shirt :( Wait... There's already a "CJA".

Looks like they took down the preview page they had up on Saturday. I guess it will come back tomorrow.

I was wondering if the preview page was prematurely released. Looks like it was.

Does a rose called by a different name smell any different?
Isn't the keynote for the conference tomorrow? Guess we'll get more news then.

I noticed the change in the URL (and the page design) yesterday. I'm not sure why the name change for the product though. I mean, "Casper Suite" is almost iconic in nature at this point. Its a bold move to rename the product, but then again, its really their core product, so I guess it makes sense to tie the company more closely to the main bread and butter product.
At one time, JAMF had a larger stable of software products (like Imaging Suite, Recon Suite, etc) but it seems they've pared things down a bit over the years. I see no mentions of those products anymore on JAMF's home page and haven't seen them for a while now. Now its just jamf Pro and jamf Now. So in that respect, the name change makes sense.

I love the new branding...Jamf has a nice ring to it. It's what most people call the company. :)

Eagle-eyed observers will note that jamfnation.com is the domain of the JN notification email sender, and this domain forwards to jamf.com/jamf-nation.
Still, why did they have to put a dash in there? Why not jamf.com/jamfnation ?

Well on the bright side, enterprise might not think that a friendly ghost is managing all their macs. Maybe the name change is to reflect a more enterprise solution. The name Casper always reminds people of the friendly ghost....at least thats how I get people to remember the name.

It is pretty bold or dumb, depending on your perspective, to change the name of a long established product.
I will say though that simplifying things would be a good thing. When I talk to others here who aren't familiar with the products and mention Casper, JSS, and Casper Admin their heads spin. I know mine did when I first took over our existing install and had no training on it. Of course I don't know anything about Jamf Pro 10 so maybe now it's Jamf Pro, JSS, and Jamf Pro Admin. Not sure that's any better if that ends up the case. lol

Yeah, I think I'd put money on that one too. Kinda like the ghost, but now there's a Casper bed too. Maybe ghosts and beds are not the right enterprise image :)
