What is self service doing when it is "Cleaning Up"?

I have not seen the "cleaning up" behavior you mention. Have a screenshot? Anything show up in logs (like /var/log/system.log or "~/Library/Logs/Casper Logs") which may explain the behavior?

I've seen it. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I imagine its cleaning up downloaded files after doing an install perhaps. Not 100% sure though since I don't always see it.

We always seem to get it, I always just assumed it was deleting any downloaded packages and scripts, disconnecting any sharemounts and logging the result of the policy back to the JSS.
Whether you see it or not probably depends on how long this process takes, as self service policy with no downloads etc... (i.e. say you just told it to run a single command line or something) should be pretty fast.

I am getting cleaning up in self service after doing an OSx install. Its been about 24hrs since starting process. Should i reboot the target machine and hope for the best or continue to wait it out?
