Our campus is in the beginning of stages of working towards enabling full disk encryption on computers designated to go off campus. I've read here and there of some ugly stories of working with it and SecureToken. There aren't a lot of Macs on campus and in particular not many that are laptops but many of them are used by important people like VP's and Deans. As always the preference would be to try getting it all right the first time.
Anyways everybody but the CIO and myself has Mojave while we have Catalina. What would people's recommendation be on enabling file vault? Do it now or update to Catalina and then enable? Does Catalina help with implementation or make things more difficult?
If anyone has any suggestions, recommendations, or warnings on this process, I'm all eyes and ears.
