Remote Assist - Unattended Sessions

Hi,

I've been testing Remote Assist and it works like a charm apart for one thing:

The documentation mentions being able to do 'Unattended Sessions' - I've not been able get it to work without having a user logged in at the other end.

Anybody have much luck with this?

Regards,

Steve.

The end-user's Mac needs to have Apple Remote Desktop enabled to utilize the JRA (Jamf Remote Assist) in an "Unattended Session"

hi,

if the computers are configured with hidden admin account then you are in the same problem as us. this is the support response received on 19/03/2024

Overall, It looks like JRA has issues with:

- Making a remote connection with JRA using hidden local account credentials when the computer is unattended. This does not work due to JRA showing that credentials are incorrect.

- Making a remote connection with JRA using formerly hidden local account credentials when the computer is unattended. This does not work due to JRA showing that credentials are incorrect.

Issues mentioned above have been highlighted in the  Product Issue submitted - If you would like to reference it in the future, please reference PI115945 - Jamf Remote Assist cannot make unattended sessions using a Hidden local account's credentials.
