In our environment we have a need to create custom JSS reports. JAMF told me that I should not query the MySQL DB directly since they update the schema often and instead I should access the API. They pointed me to the https://OurServer:8443/apiFrontPage.rest web page. This is helpful but I need to write reports like this.
Prompt the user for a machine name and then show all software installed on that machine.
Prompt the user for a machine name and then return the serial number for that machine.
Be able to write any report we need. Full customization basically is what we are seeking.
Do any of you know of a good generic reporting tool that could help with this?
