S.U.P.E.R.M.A.N. API Applying Updates

Hi all,

Is anyone using super and running into errors when trying to apply updates on Apple Silicon Macs?

The API keeps failing for me while waiting for the MDM command, ScheduleOSUpdateScan, to return a response. It auto times-out after 5 minutes. If I check the computer's record in Jamf I can see the command, but it sits in a Pending state for more than 10-15 minutes.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

Yup. Same issue here. Seems that the timeout is dependent on the Apple Notification asking for a restart of the laptop to install the updates. If you select restart on the notification you will get a prompt to enter your account password. Which defeats the purpose of the JamF Pro API setup. This then causes the timeout and causes it to fail.

What version of JamF Pro are you using?

@dchar028 @LA_RX same issue, super does all its stuff and I see the MDM command showing for the device in Jamf but then it just fails. Same happens if I try via Mass MDM commands in Jamf as well.
