Seeing strange occurrence with login window screen saver

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to see if others have seen this as well.

Because there was a product issue with the login window payload and security/privacy settings payload, it was suggested we put them together into their own profile. We have done this and the settings seem to be working well.

However, this has also generated a new problem that is sporadic in our testing. When the login window screen saver appears, we cannot wake the Macintosh up. The keyboard is responding on the screen, the mouse is moving and the controls for brightness on the keyboard are also working. But the screen saver never disappears and we cannot get to the login window, hence we cannot log in. We can only force a hard shutdown, restart and then login ASAP before the screen saver appears.

Has anyone else seen this and if you have, what has been your solution or work around? If the Mac goes to sleep entirely, we can wake it up normally and get to the login window. This appears to only be happening when the screen saver is running at the login window.

Thoughts?

Thank you as always for your responses.
