Setting preference or order of Wi-Fi for iPad

Hi,

We onboard our devices using a walled garden SSID and then deploy the production wi-fi as a configuration profile. Is there a way to set the preference order for the wi-fi networks on iPad Pros so that it uses the production wi-fi normally instead of the onboarding one?

From searching the forum, the recommendation is to manually forget the onboarding SSID after everything is set up, but my problem is that these iPads will be locked down into Single App Mode.

@myu There isn't an MDM command to set SSID precedence, and Apple doesn't seem to think this capability is necessary as they have removed the GUI to manually re-arrange the SSID precedence in macOS. If Apple gets enough feedback that they should support precedence settings for SSIDs they might implement the capability eventually, but for now you're looking at removing your onboarding SSID before you put your iPads into Single App Mode.

Our solution is that our Enrolment SSID only gets turned on for specific AP's upon request, and gets turned off when not in use.

Our solution is to provision the enrollment SSID from JAMF, but with auto join disabled. This pushes devices toward the production SSID.
