Stop users from deleting apps

I am looking for a way to stop users from deleting or move Applications or anything really out of the Applications directory. I keep having students move Maya and Mudbox from the dir. /facepalm

Are you allowing your students to be administrators? Only admins could move or delete items from Applications.

Or have you for some reason changed permissions on the folder to allow everyone full access?

As talkingmoose says, only admin users can remove anything from Applications unless you for some reason have given all users fuil permissions.

You can always setup a policy based on a smartgroup which re-installs the apps if they don't exist.
