Strange OS X imaging issue on older hardware.

We have captured an OS X Mountain Lion image using Casper Imaging. When a newer retina display computer is imaged, all "System Preferences" options are available and function properly. However, when the image is deployed to an older model, in this case MacBook Pro6,2 , certain items are unavailable (see image). Of particular interest is the "systems preferences profiles" which is unavailable in the older systems.

We were able to use options on the new systems by doing the steps described HERE.

Unfortunately simply deleting the NSPrefPaneGroups.xml is not going to be an option for us, and would like to figure out why there's a difference in outcomes between the hardware platforms and how to fix the "old" systems after imaging.
