Tableau Desktop Install

Hi All,

I've been trying to setup Tableau Desktop to install on our managed Macs.  I'm very new to setting up packages to deploy but have had success with other installs.  This one just does not want to install.  Has anyone had success with getting this setup and would like to provide how they did it?

You shouldn't have to re-package. The vendor provides the .pkg file.

If you download Tableau Desktop again, double-click the .dmg file. Inside, you should see a .pkg file. Drag this to your desktop.

Drag the .pkg file on your desktop to Jamf Admin and push this.

No issues with Tableau Desktop or Tableau Prep Builder. Are you dragging and dropping the .pkg files to Jamf Admin DP? What is your error?

yes I've had to create the pkg with composer first.  I could only find a dmg file.  Do you know of a location to download a PKG file.  Not getting an error just dosn't install and keeps spinning.

Great thanks, this wasn't working before,  I've re-downloaded it from Tableau dragged out the package and re-did the JAMf setup and it works this time.  Thanks for the information!!!

How do you license it using this installation method?  Does it have to be licensed manually on each system?
