Having trouble finding a command to accomplish this online, any input

I don't think there's a Terminal command to do so. When I had to do this for a 32-bit webplugin, I wrote an AppleScript which used UI scripting to Get Info on Safari.app, then check the 32-bit box. Thankfully, Citrix fixed their stuff to be 64-bit, so I canned the script. I'll have to check a backup tomorrow to see if I still have it...

I've found that by checking the 32-bit box in "Get Info" it makes
adjustments to this file:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.LaunchServices.plist
