Tips and Tricks section?

So, I was thinking (I know dangerous concept right?) we could maybe publish a best of, or maybe maintain a list of things you need to know about Casper. Perhaps a tips and tricks section on JAMF Nation?

Like for example, I could publish tips on running multiple manual triggered based policies from scripts. This would be something very useful when your scope is too broad or maybe not really something you can scope so you need to base it off of something else and you want to automate it with a script. While, something like this is not required to run Casper, but it is sort of a neat trick to know if you are ever in that bind.

Then I could as another example, document how to tweak Tomcat and MySQL for larger environments. Things like modifying your /etc/my.inf file, or going into the Tomcat launch daemon and allocating more RAM to the app itself.

Thoughts?

awesome idea IMHO.

I like the idea, though, at first, I was wondering how all the tips/tricks would be organized (I did not like the idea of all of them being dumped in a single discussion area). Then, I realized that the tags could help distinguish them (JSS, Composer, Tomcat, etc). As long as there is a way to organize them in some fashion, then I am all for it.

Another idea:
In the discussion section, you have a box for "<green check box> for answer". What about "<yellow check box> for helpful"? Adobe's forum section provided the idea on that one (if you like it, think of it along the lines of "even a blind hog finds an acorn every once awhile ;-) ).

Yes please!

I'm a relatively new Casper administrator. I would get some serious use out of something like this as long as it is well organized and easy to sift through.
