Upgrade from 9.97 to V10

Has anyone gone down this route?

Did you carry out a 'stepped' upgrade, or just run the V10 installer?

I'm on 9.96 but I see no reason to go to on 10 on wintel servers, planning to test on Pre-prod this week so I will feed back if I do
