Is there a way to VNC/ARD in while a machine is imaging, so I can
monitor it?

You'd have to create your own NetBoot image and make sure you turn
Remote Management on.

If the IP address of the system is current in the JSS and the management account exists in the OS that’s running at the time yes, but it’s going to be stupid slow.
If it’s a NetInstall image, not sure that would work.
But I’ve had systems in the NetBoot image, which is built from my base OS image with the account in it, and I remote in...
