Hello!
We use Jamf School in our school to manage 150+ iPads.
It is necessary to wipe the iPads every 4 weeks.
We notice the following problem:
Some devices “suddenly” lose the WiFi connection. For example: the devices still have a connection on Friday after school ends. But on Saturday they lose connection without anyone touching the devices or WiFi-Settings. Sometimes it seems that the devices are rebooting, but there is actually no reason for a reboot.
Because the students assign codes, as an administrator I have to individually handle all devices that have lost the WiFi connection.
Maybe someone has an idea :/
Thanks!
Dominik

Hi Dominik,
It sounds frustrating dealing with iPads losing WiFi connections. Ensure WiFi profiles are correctly configured, check for Jamf School updates, and use the "Return to Service" option with a Network Configuration Profile when wiping the iPads.
Hope this helps!

Yeah, it's frustrating.
You describe my normal way.
However, I cannot wipe with "Return to Service" because they have already lost the connection.

Try using the JAMF Reset, Which will preserve the Wi-Fi connection reset the device to the factory settings, and re-configure the device.

In my opinion, using the app has two disadvantages for me:
1. I have to pick up every iPad.
2. Student codes prevent easy access to iPads.
