Agreed. It seems somewhat reckless to have this tied to a "delete"
button, even if you do get an additional confirmation prompt before
anything is actually deleted.

which elements show up in the GUI (in my case I just need choice vpn and
umbrella. I know I can create a custom pkg from the dmg that strips out
the elements I do not want, but I am ...

This may be a coincidence but I've removed EAs and policies that were
calling on Python. Since doing that, I am not seeing the errors showing
in my log anymore.
