you need to make sure you are adding ldap groups to Jamf as well as on the identity provider access side. keep in mind they are case sensitive

If you don't want them to remove the binary then I would do one of two things: disallow local admin report removal to human resources

instead of trying to push the update, would it be feasible to try nagging users who are not on the proper version to update via Jamf helper?

i would recommend using the models for criteria, as was mentioned above
