Hi. I used two profiles with a time filter (7-15 & 15-7). Sometimes the switch isn't kicking in an people still use the profile for 7-15 while it's already like 18h00.Do I really have to push to missing all the time? If so, could it be that time filter is useless? :/Thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi All, Just wondering if it's possible to package the Composer App using Composer? I want this to be available to the other admins without having to bounce the download link and install?Would they have to install the Jamf Pro package? Or can they only have access to the Composer app? Any / All help & advice would be greatly appreciated.(I'm new to this and learning as I go!)

Inherited a fleet of iOS devices that didn't have "Prevent Unenrollment" checked in the pre-stage enrollment. Have several hundred devices that have the ability to remove the MDM Profile. Is there a way to create a configuration profile to block users from having the ability to remove the MDM? I'm not seeing anything in the Configuration Profile settings to do that. Don't want to have to manually re-enroll the entire fleet. 

Hello all, When a new user account is created in the process of a new user signing into a Mac via Jamf Connect for the first time, I'd like it to trigger a policy in Jamf to set the dock layout.Anyone have an idea of how to have a new user account trigger this?  I am already supposing that in policy I would set trigger as a custom event.Thanks

I bought an old 2016 macbook. I checked it for itunes lock or any other indication that it was stolen but there were no immediate red flags. I brought it home and tried to wipe/install OSX and now the keyboard is flashing and asking me to enroll at some company... What are my options here ?

What a good feature this Smart Groups Dependency Reporting ! Do you think it'll be possible to implement the same for the statics groups ?

Hi all, Is it feasible to have individual policies that install cached installation files of programs that then will be queued off and installed via a global policy that checks in to install all cached policies on devices?Currently, I run two policies per installation package. One policy will install a cached version of the package onto the target machine. The second policy will simply install the cached package from the previously run policy, in files and processes I've configured a terminal callout to that previous one as well.I'm hoping for the following:For example, if I create a single policy that just installed the cached installer for a program then another maintenance policy would run which would trigger the install for all these programs.Is this possible? I'd like to do this on a monthly cadence.

This is my first post on Jamfnation :)I have couple of questions when it comes to Apple ID or Managed Apple ID 1. Max how many iOS devices i can setup with same Apple ID ? As per few articles "You can have ten devices (no more than five computers) associated with your Apple ID for purchases at one time". however what if i do not want to purchases2. The limit is same if we use Managed Apple ID ?3. The last query, i want to remove Apple ID without entering password. i know i can do so by resetting a device. is there any other way ? not looking for 3rd party apps Thanks in advance  

Hello, I’ve some problems with my keyboard.I have a Lenovo Ideapad 330 Ryzen 5 laptop that I purchased a couple of years ago and it does not store the L, K & spacebar keys while writing on documents.I’ve to press those keys several times for it to work. I am a little bit confused, is it a mechanical problem? Or a software issue? Should I need to replace my keyboard? I am unable to fix the issue.Any help should be appreciated.

Hello all,A user is having an issue with the sounds that play every time he gets a notification. When he goes to System Preferences -> Notification -> Self Service, he is not able to untick the box. In Jamf Pro, I don't see any settings in Jamf to specifically allow him to turn it off.How would I go about this?

My company has decided to use jamf pro to manage the small set of Apple users. One of the goals is sync apple users passwords with AAD. Currently I am trying to configure jamf connect, while the basic configuration works, the jamf authentication and local account migration is very inconsistent from Mac to Mac. The configuration would has users login through an azure login window instead of the normal apple login window then creates a new account or connects the existing account. However either the local account I configured in jamf doesn't work (it freezes the mac) or the migration doesn't apply at all.Have anyone had these issues? If so any advice? Or should I do basic setup with the jamf connect app to sync the passwords and avoid the migration issues.

This might be an easy one:  Can jamf policies install 2 related packages from a single policy? If yes, how would I enforce which one gets installed first?Specific scenario information: I'm installing Sony Image Edge/Sony Image Desktop, which is downloaded as a single pkg file. once installed, the app tells you to download another pkg file using a download button from inside the app. that pkg file is installed manually as well.I'd like to have a single policy that installs the base pkg, then the secondary pkg.  is that possible?

Hi,unfortunatly I have not the bussiness version of Parallels 17, only the standard, for 86 clients to deploy. Every Client should get a own serial key because of parallels refuse to change my licenses into a volume license key.Now I thougt I should have a script, that set up the right licence key from a script that contains the licenses like$imac101=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxthan the script should compare the hostname with#prlsrvctl install-license <-k, --key<$imac101>> Can someone provide her a little help?Kind regardsMathew

HI guys after installing Jamf Connect, and logging in everything is fineHowever after the restart the user has to do MFA which works fine, the laptop proceeds starting up, I get the "reticulating splines again" windowdepnotify is not installed and laptop is on a network cable . Who has a solution for this? thnx in advance

Hello JAMF Nation, We've been getting a lot of errors this morning on enrolling machines. Self Service is not being pushed down, along with some policies we have set to push on enrollment. Is there an issue going on with JAMF at the moment? We got Self Service finally added by using the "sudo jamf policy" command but are still having intermittent errors. EDIT: Now when we use "sudo jamf xxx" commands we are getting the error message "Unknown, type "help" for command info". This has happened several times after erasing a machine and re-enrolling... This has happened on two separate devices. They both have had similar errors.

Hello Everyone, Im testing out a mac mini M1 with big sur 11.2.1 for the first time and i noticed something new happening which i never saw before with my Intel mac mini's (Running both Catalina and Big Sur). As soon as i enroll the mac mini, manually, into my Jamf Pro instance im getting disconnected from ARD, only SSH works, and the Preference Pane for Remote Management now show's a new message that "Screen Sharing is managed", and i cant connect anymore to Remote Management. Has anyone tackled this issue before? I did open a case with Jamf but im trying to see if anyone has seen this happen before and maybe can give me a solution. Im attaching screenshots. I'm trying to run a login script with root rules. Obviously without having to use a trigger for Login with JamfPRO. Does anyone have an idea?

Hello all,I was reading through Jamf School patch notes for today and two things caught my eye. All of the fixes related to OS updates and this:Apps and profiles scoped to devices in device groups no longer incorrectly display as "Added on save" and "Pending" when the device is assigned to the device group after enrollment.I had been getting around this just by removing and re-adding devices to the group. I haven't been able to test it specifically after enrollment, but I'm noticing that it is definitely still a bug outside of enrollment. Or at least for the first device I chose to test updates on.It was in our staff device group, and I changed it to our student test device group. No change. So then I remove the group so it's in none. Everything gets removed as it should, good. Then I try to added it to the student test group again. Nothing. Going to one of the profiles scoped to that group to check the scope and there it is "Added on save", "Pending".Restarting, removing and re-adding
