We have had the Darktrace cSensor running on our macs for months. I am currently tasked with creating a report that pulls in all machines with DT sensor and its running. I found a script that I could use with extension attributes to report that the sensor is installed and running, but it does not pull any data once it's set up as the exention attribute. Is anyone having trouble with the Jamf Server logs not actually logging?   I have a support ticket open (CS0951135) for this because I think the log4j2.xml file is not setup correct, it was broken before in 10.45, but stuff has changed in that configuration file and it is even more broken in 10.46. I am in a windows server environment, and installed using the jamf windows installer. I am installing it on the D drive on my Jamf server and not on my C drive, but I am using the installer to do all of this, so not doing anything special.  Is there anyone else out there with windows using not the c drive for Jamf with this issue?

Hello Jamf Community, We are currently in the process of setting up an on-premises Jamf server but have encountered an error. The computer begins to enroll with the MDM after entering the user credentials in Remote Management, then retrieves enrollment profile, begins to install enrollment profile, then gives an error. The error: Enrolling with management server failed. Unable to contact the SCEP server at https://our-server-domain.local:8443//CA/SCEP  Has anyone experienced this issue, or know what is causing it and how to fix it? Also, I am not sure why it is inserting two forward slashes after the port and before CA: 8443//CA. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there a way to get a report or list of all failed commands for our mobile devices in Jamf Pro.  Whenever I go to a device for any reason I often find failed commands from several months ago and manually clear those.  But it would be nice to be able to know all the devices with failed commands so I can look at what failed without having to go to each device individually.

Hey folks,Since updating our inventory of MacBooks to MacOS 14 Sonoma, users have noticed weird behaviour with Airdrop that was working correctly on MacOS 13.x. From the jamf-managed MacOS 14 MacBook, users can:Airdrop TO Jamf-managed iPad (iPadOS 17.0.3)Airdrop TO non-managed personal iPhone (iOS 16.7.1) However, airdrop is not working in the other direction. If the other devices are not signed into the same iCloud account, the MacOS device is not even visible as an available device to airdrop to (visible to everyone settings are enabled). If the devices are signed into the same icloud account, the MacOS device will be visible as an Airdrop target, but actually sharing a file will timeout and fail. All of these devices (including jamf-managed MacOS) are able to Airdrop TO a personal non-managed MacOS 13.4 device We have no Configuration Profiles restricting use/access to Airdrop. Airdrop settings are set to 'visible to everyone' on all devices. The issue only

I've tried moving all of the apps that use Policies to install to use Jamf App Catalog instead (if they are present). What I noticed is that the apps take a long time to install when re-provisioning a Macbook. Sometimes it would take 3 days before the apps would show up as installed on the Macbook. Is this delay normal? Is there a setting to force it to install immediately after enrolment just like it did with Policies?

These unwanted logoffs happen in most cases when I click on the "Refresh" button after uploading PKGs to our Jamf Cloud server (hosted by Jamf).I always use Safari (with a 2-factor auth.) for Jamf tasks, should I change the browser or is it a browser settings thing?

Hello! We are unable to log into any computer that is bound to Active Directory with the mobile account that is created. We've noticed that:- On Jamf, impacted computers will stop checking in.- Computers will flap on the network, that is, they will intermittently lose connection and gain connection.- When we log into a local administrator account, use sudo jamf policy and other commands and log out, the mobile account will be accessible for only a temporary period of time.- AD connection is valid, and all iMacs are in the proper OU. There are no duplicate entries.- All computers are on Sonoma.- We use Crowdstrike, and no alerts have been triggered. Any ideas as to why this may be happening?

Trying to polish up our Jamf Connect configuration, but I notice upon reboot the Jamf Connect screen doesn't pop up, I have Filevault disabled, and I made it so the authchanger script runs every time the computer logs in. Hello,When our students graduate we offer the option for them to keep the devices. We wipe and delete them from JAMF when they sign them out during the final days of school. Once we do this if they restore from an iCloud Backup, all of our configuration profiles are added back via the backup without the iPad enrolling back into our MDM server. One profile we have is to deny the ability to factory reset the iPad via Settings. This means the graduated students are unable to reset their device that has pulled its old management controls. The only way to wipe them is to put them in DFU mode and use Apple Configurator 2.Is there a better way to release these devices through smart groups or anyone else noticing this.Thanks!

In our Mac fleet are Clients who have Microsft Teams 1.x and 2.x installed. It turned out that "Microsoft Teams (work or school)" in Version 24231.x changed its Name back to "Microsott Teams". Does this mean that it will remove a installed "Microsoft Teams" in Version 1.x ? How does this effect Jamfs Patch Management for Microsoft Teams?

We have been trying to track how big of an issue iCPR is (scope-wise), but have not been able to get an extension attribute working properly to show who has it on. How are you all handling this?

Going over Jamf nation posts the past few weeks, and it seems like there is an uptick in posts and comments that look very much to be made by chat bots. I have also seen more people marking their own comments as solutions to their own posts and such. Has anyone else noticed this trend or is it just me?

I'm working on a new .mobileconfig file to distribute 802.1x settings. I can make this work in a file built by ProfileManager, but when I build what appears to be the same thing on my JSS and load it on a test box, I'm getting "Acquired: cannot prompt for missing user name" from eapolclient in console.app. I want to compare the two mobileconfig files, so I converted the PM file with plutil: >>plutil -convert xml1 PMFile.mobileconfig When I try to convert the JSS-generated file: >>plutil -convert xml1 JSSFile.mobileconfig JSSFile.mobileconfig: Property List error: Unexpected character 0 at line 1 / JSON error: JSON text did not start with array or object and option to allow fragments not set. Is there a way to get a standard Property List file from the JSS? (I can't convert to JSON either).

HI,I'm currently setting up the configuration profiles for our iPads and am trying to figure out if there is a way to have bookmarks preconfigured on the iPad for regular sites.At this stage I have some webclips set up, but I'm trying to avoid having too many tiles on the iPad and would prefer them in bookmark form in either Chrome or Safari.Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hello Jamf Nation!Our Art program recently purchased some Epson SureColor P900 printers.  They have a long history of purchasing Epson 3800, 3880, and P800 printers, so it wasn't surprising they purchased this model to replacing some worn out printers that couldn't be repaired any longer.  All of them had a standard Apple Installer .pkg file available for download from the Epson.com support site.  I go to the Epson site for the P900 drivers and all that's available is a small download - "SCP900_Lite_64NR2_NA.dmg" which inside of it has the "Epson Installer" application.  No package file. I attempted to capture the Epson software and driver install using Jamf Composer, but printing fails on the captured package no matter how I manipulate it - "Software is missing.  Contact the manufacturer for the latest printer software."  Opened a support ticket and the first reply back from them was to go to Epson.com and select the OS and download the driver for the mod

Hey everyone, new to Jamf here. We have a remote desktop app that requires us to allow access via the remote desktop setting in privacy and security (shown below). We have many remote machines and are trying not to have to enable it one by one. Anyone know if it's possible to set this in Jamf? I looked in the PPPC on our config profile but I don't see this "Remote Desktop" setting.   

Hey All,  We have a logi swytch and it needs DisplayLink app to make it work. I'm trying to make DisplayLink available on Self Service. But when I tried to create a configuration policy to allow screen recording for DisplayLink, it doesn't work at all. Anyone has any idea to make it work. Please see my PPPC configuration below  

I am doing some testing with macOS 15 before any widespread deployment.I use Jamf Pro polices and packages to update Jamf Connect to the newest version (currently 2.39).On macOS 13.6.7 and 14.6.1 the policy runs fine without any issues however on macOS 15 it is giving me an integrity error:Verifying package integrity...Installation failed. The package could not be verified.I can install Jamf Connect 2.39 directly via the dmg file and JamfConnect.pkg file on macOS 15, however this is not practical as most of the managed computers are offsite.This seems to be an Apple integrity check issue. Any thoughts on how to work around this issue.Thanks

I am able to successfully build & deploy custom preferences using the Application and Custom Settings on Configuration Profiles. What's not working is just the AllowTenantList setting. I think it's a syntax problem so any help would be greatly appreciated.
