Hello,
After updating Microsoft Teams via JAMF on several Mac devices, some users have reported issues where the app opens but crashes immediately, or it freezes when attempting to join or start meetings. The app becomes unresponsive, and users are required to restart their devices to regain functionality.
Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Best regards,
Dona

It's Teams - don't trust it. Try killing all Teams related processes (helpers and renderers etc), and coreaudiod for good measure, and you shouldn't have to restart.
I've also found the Insider Fast releases to typically be as good or better than whatever MS says is current: https://github.com/ItzLevvie/MicrosoftTeams-msinternal/blob/master/defconfig2

This is probably less to do with Jamf, and more to do with Teams being Teams. What happens if you scrub and reinstall?

There has been reports on other apps becoming unresponsive after update as well. One example is mentioned here: https://community.jamf.com/t5/jamf-pro/chrome-breaks-post-autoupdate/td-p/341426
Could this be related to Jamfs app catalog? I would try to either package myself, or revert to App catalog for isolation of the issue.

Yes, this issue has been reported after Microsoft Teams updates via JAMF. It may be due to corrupt cache files or compatibility issues. Try clearing Teams cache , reinstalling the app, and ensuring macOS and Teams are fully updated. Also, check JAMF policies for any conflicts. If the issue persists, Microsoft logs may provide more details.
