Last Inventoried not updating

I have the following issue: Most of my clients (macOS 13 & macOS 14) do not inventory anymore. Last check-in is always up to date. The apps I pushed via the VPP are stuck on installing. Only when i log into a clients machine with the administrator account everything works fine, the device inventories itself and the apps are installing properly.

Any ideas?

Having same issue with a 10.12 machine

In our case, it was because the Update Inventory policy was enabled by not scoped, properly. Scoping it to All Managed Clients resolved our issue.
