When binding to a new Ad objects, is it necessary to unbind from the original object first? If you change the computer name and have a new corresponding object in AD to bind to, can you just use Casper to bind to the new object or is the Macintosh still bound to the original object in AD?
Thanks,
Scott

If it finds an existing object by default it still forces the bind and
overwrites. Hopefully it wasn't something you already had in there that
still does truly exist.
I'd say it's always good to clean house before you move in, but it
certainly isn't necessary to get things working from my experience.

Its not always necessary but I for one am someone who likes to make sure
that everything is nice and tidy.
