Apple Remote Desktop not working on Ventura

Hi!

we are facing an issue with ARD that started some months ago, in details:

- No issue with ARD MDM command to enable it

- Admin login authentication go through

- Observe and Control doesn't work, it loads a while and the following error appears: " Make sure the remote computer is available and the firewall is not blocking screen sharing"

- In ARD app on "current application" I can see that it shows the APP in use

- TCP/UDP ports are all opened. From networks logs we can see that target device is not responding

- ARD app release is the latest one 3.9.6

- ARD agent is 3.9.8

- Tested on Ventura 13.2.1 / 13.3 / 13.3.1

Does anyone facing the same issue? Any workaround?

Thanks!

Daniele

Hi,
sorry for the late response, i was OFF

I've discovered that after removing the static group ARD can be performed. I'm investigating what kind of configuration has been applied recently that made ARD unavailable. Will be probably fixed quickly

Thanks all for your help

No issues with ARD on Ventura.

Does ARD work on a different Mac? Have you tried deleting the computers, then re-adding it?

Try Screen Sharing.app for a different result?

Hi,

thanks for your reply

we tried at least with 50 different iMac, Silicon and Intel, and new enrolment as well

Screen sharing works with Teams and Webex

But thanks for you reply, as i can see that probably it's our internal issue

I'll wait for some new feedbacks or suggestion

If you open the Screen Sharing app located below and punch in an IP address, do you get the same result?

/System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Screen\ Sharing.app

And to be sure, Remote Management is flicked on in System Settings, General, Sharing?

Did you go to the computer record in Jamf and click Enable Remote Desktop?

Anyone having issue of executing unix command via ARD to JAMF managed devices? I don't seems to be able to restart, copy, install anything via ARD to these devices. Is driving me crazy.
