Can't net boot more than 8 clients at the same time

We used Apple SIU and Casper SIU to create net boot images respectively and place them on two separate net boot servers but no matter which net boot image client is using to boot up, it can't net boot more than 8 computers at a time. It seems like net boot service time out when booting up No.9 client, those two net boot servers are 10.7.x and 10.9.x respectively, We have used net boot and casper imaging for 4 years and never encountered such a problem, Please help.

Have you taken a look at AutoCasperNBI? Make sure you select the "rc.netboot" option. You'll be able to Netbook more than 8 clients with that.

Another vote here for AutoCasperNBI and the "rc.netboot" option. I have been able to NetBoot 30+ systems simultaneously without issue. https://macmule.com/projects/autocaspernbi/
