Categories for Config Profiles Missing in JSS 9.62

After the update to 9.62 it appears that the category feature for Configuration Profiles in the JSS is non-functional. I had specific profiles placed categorically on the selection window for profiles, but they all appear to be "No Category" even though the general tab in individual config profiles show my previous categories. I attempted to assign them to a new category to see if they would be reordered but that did not seem to work.

JSS is installed on Windows 2012 R2 server

Is anyone else having this problem?

I can confirm the same issue. Upgraded from 9.61 to 9.62. JSS running on OS X 10.9.5. Shows 'No category assigned' for all configuration profiles. However, checking under individual configuration profile settings shows correct category assigned.

Yes, same here.

Same issue here. OS X Configuration Profiles all listed under No category assigned.

Upgraded from 9.61 to 9.62 on a virtual Windows Server 2012 R2.

Bummer, same here, JSS on RHEL 6.6.

do they still work or is it a show stopper? I was just about to click the final "continue" button on the installer when I though I should check on here :)

is categories new ? I'm not seeing it in 9.32 or I'm misunderstanding. I'm hoping to upgrade my test server today.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We've created Defect D-8168 to track and fix the problem. I'd like to point out, and set everyone's mind at ease, that this is only a display issue in the Configuration Profiles list. If we navigate into a specific Configuration Profile we'll see that the category is properly retained, so there is no effect on the functionality of profiles.

If you have any further questions regarding this defect, please feel free to reply here, reach out to me directly (carlton.brumbelow@jamfsoftware.com), or contact your Technical Account Manager. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes in the upgrade process.

Thanks!

Edit: As a workaround for displaying categories in Self Service, if we add the profile as a featured item, it will appear properly categorized.

I can confirm with Carlton that the categories do appear in the general settings. If a hotfix is implemented in the near future this should be a non-issue in the interim. Thanks for following up on the thread.
