Connecting Apple TV

I am trying to enroll several Apple TVs but I am getting hung up on what seems to be a very simple issue. I plug in the Apple TV using a standard micro-usb cable, however it never appears as a USB connected device in Apple Configurator? I am running Apple Configurator 1.5 with my Mac running 10.9.4. Anyone else have this issue?

I've found that some micro-usb cables only transmit power, not data. Have you tried different cables?

Thanks for the reply. So, surprise surprise. It was actually working. It just doesn't like to appear as a connected device.
