Force check-in and inventory update

We have some computers that have not checked in in awhile so I need the techs to check their status.

One of the things I would like them to do is to attempt to force the computer to check-in and update its inventory.

I know sudo jamf policy will force a check-in, and sudo jamf recon will force an inventory update, but is there a way to combine both into one command?

Also, any other tips on checking why the computer is not checking in?

jamf recon; jamf policy should do it.

In theory the commands shouldn't be needed if the clients connection to AD is functional. If more than a week has passed, the inventory update would occur anyway (assuming default JSS settings).

If the connection is broken, using @rtrouton's adcheck scripts would help auto-fix them.
