Hi Everyone, Hoping someone can help. I've been tasked in editing our users Google Chrome Preference file with a protocol handler to suppress the "always open these types of links in the associated app" drop down to an internal application being used. The check box is no longer available in Chrome to kill it. We need to add this string:
,"protocol_handler":{"excluded_schemes":{"npstsu":false}
to the end of the Preference file located in:
~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/Preferences
Needs to land before the last 2 brackets, so we were told. It was suggested in creating a config profile but in looking at this Preference file, it appears to be sort of JSON-ee. So i'm not entirely sure if a config profile will work. We was also told to look into jq. SED. and a gang of other command line suggestions. Can someone suggest a best approach to this? And i'm wondering if the fact that this Preferences file, being a local user path, will make it more challenging.
