Guided Access

I am hoping for a resolution for a teacher. She would like that when students open an app, they cannot close that app or open another without permissions or a passcode. She referred to this as guides access but I am sure if that is the solution she needs. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have never heard of any function like what this teacher is looking for beyond Single App Mode. However, Single App Mode does not magically engage when a student opens an app; its either enabled or it's not.

Apple Classroom or Jamf Teacher allows this - beyond guided access.  Additional setup is involved for this to be accomplished.
