Jamf Health Check Parameters

Hi All - I am a beginner in Apple environment and we have recently rolled out a couple of apple devices (1000+) in our environment. We are leveraging Jamf Pro for administering these machines.

As an administrator, I would like to understand how we can leverage Jamf for routine health checkup for the environment. My intent is to run daily reports which can let me know if my environment is running fine/any issues etc.

Things like:
1. Client health check report
2. Services health check etc.

Please suggest what all things I can run from Jamf pro to do routine checks whenever I start my day as an administrator.

Looking forward to hear. Thanks.

Mohit,
You know that's a simple questions with about a gazillion responses and counter questions! Kind of like "how do I use SCCM?".

First, honestly, your users, help desk and ticketing system are going to tell you on a daily basis if your environment is running well or not.

For weekly/monthly reporting, you really need to write down in fine detail what it is that you/management/client want to keep tabs on. Get very specific as to what client health check really means. Some things might be native inventory reporting data, others you may have to write scripts to use as extension attributes to report on. Spend some time in the Advanced Search tool to see what's easily reported.

As a beginner you need to go through the JAMF 100 course. Then spend time reviewing all the other material that's freely available on the Resources page.
