Happy Wednesday, Jamf Nation!
We're getting ready to deploy Jamf Pro 10.17.1 to our production lane and just noticed what may be a possible behavior change with PreStage Enrollments.
In Jamf Pro 10.17.1-t1574185757 > PreStage Enrollments > Account Settings > Management Account > Create an additional local administrator account, the check box reads:
Show managed administrator account in Users & Groups
In Jamf Pro 10.16.1-t1572055156, this reads:
Hide Account Hide the local administrator account from user
I've disabled the checkbox in Jamf Pro 10.17.1 and will advise after testing a fresh enrollment.
Any and all insights welcome. Thanks.

Thanks for your time on chat in regards to case number: JAMF-0843775. To recap, there was a change with Prestage Enrollment creating a management account with the options to show. As reported, in 10.16.1 it was given the option to hide it. Because of terminology change - they do not get recorded into the "What's Change" report, however if this is a request we'd like to add, we'll get this case converted to a feature request. Should there be any questions or issues that come up, we'll be more than happy to assist. Thanks, Tech Support Support Email: support@jamf.com Support Line: (844) 411-5263

In a single test, enrolling a MacBook Pro running macOS 10.15.2 (19C57) with PreStage Enrollments > Account Settings > Management Account > Create an additional local administrator account > Show managed administrator account in Users & Groups UNCHECKED, the additional local administrator account is VISIBLE in Users & Groups.
Time to open a fresh ticket.

Hey Dan, There actually is a known issue right now in regards to this. Basically this issue causes the behavior to be the opposite of what you select in the Prestage Enrollment. Our Sustaining team is currently investigating this behavior and looking for a fix. This is a new issue with the release of Jamf Pro Server 10.17.0. Currently there is no workaround in place so if you're seeing opposite behavior with those checkboxes, select the opposite of what you want to happen. Please feel free to reach out with any additional questions, and have a great rest of your day! Thanks! Technical Support Specialist
