JamfPro, eduroam and session reset

In our HE institution, sets of iPads are used in teaching sessions by students, who log-in to the 'eduroam' wi-fi service using their own university log-in credentials. As part of their teaching session they often download and use Apps through Jamf Self-Service and/or make video clips or take photos or other media content.
When the session finishes, they log-out of eduroam and iPads are returned to us (resource techs) where they auto-join a local wi-fi hotspot to avoid us repeatedly logging in to eduroam to enable connection to our Jamf server. This is so we can reset the devices and clear out any user self-service installed Apps or media content and the iPads go out 'clean' next time.
Is there a way to send a remote command to devices that is a 'partial' wipe? We want to simply erase everything that has happened in THAT teaching session rather than erase and reset the iPads completely as this takes ages. Anyone have a solution to this?

Have you considered using Jamf setup and reset?

I think you'd run into the issue of the iPads having to be reset again.

another option is to use iPads in shared mode but Apple has really made the experience terrible.. You could have users log in and logout though which will save time on wiping. Although you may run into issues of ipads locking up or remotely updating ipads due to no features in Jamf to send remote commands to log out all users on shared ipads.

Just some thoughts :)
