JSS 9.25 Released

They do, there aren't many but I searched the document for 9.25 and found some fixed issues.

I am curious if the ghost records issue is fixed (wasn't mentioned, but didn't see it when I skimmed known issues either).

Actually a few, but they seem only related to mobile device management and a fix for the Linux installer. Just bug fixes in this release it seems. No enhancements or FRs implemented that I can see.

Fixed in v9.25:
??[D-006388] Improved JSS performance by no longer requiring Self Service web clip installation and inventory updates for every MDM token update.
??[D-006412] Fixed an issue that caused supervised mobile devices to be displayed as unsupervised in inventory after updating mobile devices using the JSS API.
??[D-006513] Fixed an issue that caused User and Location inventory information to be reset for a mobile device when upgrading to iOS 7.1 if the device was enrolled with a profile that used the Create profile for use with iPCU option.

Since I've been a bit out-of-the-loop lately...does Casper support Managed VPP and DEP yet?

@lehmanp00, from what I've read they are currently working on a new version that will support those.

Nothing about Casper Imaging. (It wasn't working properly in 9.23 and 9.24 with smart configurations.) I didn't see it listed as a fix or a know issue and wonder why?

Hey guys

We're on Casper 9.25 (Just updated from 9.21)
We're experiencing...
Using Imaging 9.25 causes duplicate JSS computers to be generated.
Using Imaging 9.25 and 9.21 with Smart Configurations, machine policies don't get flushed, duplicate computer entries get generated.

Our rep has advised as a work around to delete all machines out of the JSS and prestage the machines... It's very painful for testing and rebuilding problem machines in our labs...

We are seeing the same thing. Duplicated records, managed and unmanaged records. Anyone find a fix for this yet?

Hi @ Chriskmpruitt,

The issues with records being duplicated during imaging (D-005079 & D-004995) were fixed in 9.3.
They're noted on page 13 of the Release Notes.

We do need to remove existing duplicates manually, however.
Once they're gone, imaging on a 9.3 JSS with 9.3 Imaging should not result in any further duplicate records.
