managing a dual-boot machine with both partitions OS X?

I have a test machine that I am going to send a group to test some things. Two separate groups are going to require different images, but will be
sharing the same test machine.

So every time recon runs on a different patron on this machine, the computer
account in Casper Suite is changed. Is there a way I could set this up as
looking like two separate computers in the JSS?

Casper uses the MAC Address, so that seems to be where you're having your issues. I'm not sure which steps to take to make each partition use a different MAC address…

Buy a USB-Ethernet dongle (like that come with the Air) and have them use
that whenever they're on one particular partition.

I put in a feature request for this almost a year ago. Perhaps you could
toss your hat in the ring with me? ;)

We wanted to use Recon.app and Recon.exe to inventory all our systems…but I
ran into the record overwrite for dual-boot Macs, same as you. I think it
should just list all the OS's etc.
