Microsoft AutoUpdate

I am trying, without Much success to get this configured and working correctly.

My current attempt is using the Below MobileConfig file to set 3 Settings

DisableInsiderCheckbox true
HowToCheck AutomaticDownload
StartDaemonOnAppLaunch true

However, while the AutoUpdate client has it's options seemingly set how we request, and changes are Greyed out, the Damn Updates will not auto Install without user input.

Anyone Else having these Issues ??

I can't speak to your specific issue. Automatic download and install works for me but it's hilariously unreliable and inconsistent to the point where I could see someone trying it for a couple days with nothing happening. We turn it on but still push full suite updates regularly.

Are you testing MAU4 in your test environment?

Obviously as this is a beta, I would give the standard warning about using pre-release software in production, but when this is formally released, it changes up the updating methodology from a whole suite push to a per client command line pull that works in most situations including the login window.

I’m excited for this one to get formally released. I will be able to run some simple JSS policies to keep Office up to date with minimal downloads with simple command line tools similar to Apple Software Update.
