Hello, everybody,
I have the following problem: I have a new server which should replace the old one with the previous distribution point. Jamf Admin has access to the server, the policies for distributing the packages also work with it.
Only Jamf Imaging cannot find the distribution point at the start of the imaging process. The message "The Distribution Point could not be mounted" appears.
The settings for the distribution point are the same as the old one. The rights are also available and replication in the Jamf Admin has also worked.
Do you have any more ideas what that might be?
We would like to shut down the old server in the next weeks.
Greetings,
Frank

I forgot the following:
The old server was a MacPro, the new is a Windows Server 2016. Is there anything to change in the server ?
Like IIS or so ?
Greetings,
Frank

If you have SMB and IIS running, policies will use IIS/HTTP and imaging would use SMB.
So policies and HTTP might be fine, while SMB has an issue of some kind.

Please check if you have selected the smb in file share distribution point under JAMF setting pane as Windows will use SMB instead of AFP.
Please try to mount the share manually on any of the Mac and see if it gets mount or not.
