I wanted to start a conversation and see if any admins out there are using puppet or chef in there environment in addition to Casper, how are they using it, and what they are finding is the better tool for them for which situations.
For instance, I've been toying with the idea of using puppet to manage OS X based DPs/SUS/Netboot to be able to make sure the contents are always in sync with the master instead of a scheduled rsync which is what I'm doing right now. Maybe I can expand on it to turn on and off certain Netboot sets, allow certain updates or deny an update. I know I can do this in JSS, but I don't feel comfortable putting in servers into JSS in my environment.
