Self Service as a way to get the JAMF client deployed in new environment

Hi Hasan and Dustin,

The techs scanned all "known" subnets as well, but with all the unknown subnets, offline Macs, ones with firewall/stealth turned on (users are local admins), etc., only 35% of the environment has the client installed. I agree, there could/should have been better control of the environment (like maybe a somewhat accurate and up to date inventory?), but that's what we're dealing with now. See my other responses (spin off of this thread).

Thanks,
Don

Hi Robert,

Wow, that does sound slick! The problem is we're dealing with users in various locations inside and outside our network (the later may be out on location) so we want everyone to get the agent installed, then at a later time we can get Self Service up and running.

Thanks,
Don
