I've had that same issue happen to me too. I've found that they are
enrolling, but they are not managed. To fix this you should be able to
click the Mac in question. Under the Inventory Tab > "General" on the
side bar > then click edit and add in you...
You can set a configuration profile to hide the password section in the
settings. That way if like @tsossong said, you disable passwords during
setup via the DEP settings, the users will never be prompted.
Is the brightness set at whatever point the last user had the brightness
set at? So if student 1 logs on and sets the brightness to the dimmest,
does it stay that way until student 2 logs in a changes it?
