I’m excited for JNUC and to see what other people are doing with Jamf. I
like the geeky, scripty, hacky, sort of stuff that solves unique
problems by glueing together commonly used tools. I'm curious what kinds
of sessions other people like.
Looks good, but is there anything to protect against someone using a
different/personal device to setup another parental device that removes
restrictions?
@christina_luis If you search for the affected devices you'll see that
you are able to send commands, and they do receive them. At least that's
been our experience. It's more that Jamf hasn't fully configured these
devices than them not being in Jamf...
For those interested, we've been assigned a product issue (PI-009403).
We have some apps scoped as autoinstall and some of those same apps
scoped to be in self service. If there's any device overlap between the
2, we get this issue. For now, we're go...
We've never had the "Set Time Zone" box checked and are having the
issue. Unchecking "Install Configuration Profiles before Setup
Assistant" gets a device to the home screen, but configs and apps won't
come down reliably.
From what support says, they'll probably be filing this as a bug. Though
I still need to get on a call with them to go over the details. Not
trying to hijack the thread, but for those of you wanting to see if
you're affected... Find a user and verify ...
