Hi everyone, We're working on some automated patching workflows over
here for Apple Software Updates. One question that came up is what to do
with shared machines (i.e. laptop carts) that are only online when
they're being used by students. We instal...
Hi everyone, I'm curious what people are using for wireless
authentication in their environments, particularly in K-12 with a mix of
1:1, shared, and BYOD devices. Does your wireless auth mechanism work
well on your Macs? iPads? Thanks! Jason
Hi folks, We are going to upgrade our AD domain from 2003 to 2012 in a
parallel migration (so adding new domain controllers and removing old
ones rather than upgrading existing DCs). I'm curious if anyone has
encountered any Mac authentication issues...
What do others use for enterprise-grade MAC network attached storage? I
want something that supports AFP natively (so as to avoid buying
ExtremeZ-IP for it). Are you using dedicated devices, or Mac Pros with
RAID? I'm looking to create some network b...
Hi all, So we're trying to get out the latest Java update that fixes the
much publicized recent security issues. For 10.7+ there's a clear

that box would get remove that functionality...
@jamesdurler I don't think you can get rid of that wifi selection box...
@geoffreykobrien Cool, I didn't see that in mine. I'm on 9.72 still, so
maybe it was added later? But those def look like the options!
What you're describing is exactly what I do too! Did you make your
profile in the JSS? If so, I don't think the option to do this is there.
However, if you make the profile in Profile Manager, you can. It's the
"Use as a Login Window Configuration" c...
@ddcdennisb Looks like there was a change in the prefs file from 42 to
43. It works for me on 42, but not on 43. I'll have to modify the script
to work again. I'll post an updated version when I have it.
