Has anyone played around with the idea of hosting their JSS not only in
AWS, but via AWS Beanstalk? There's probably some drift here from what
JAMF would support, but I'm curious if anyone has taken the effort. The
idea here being that your JSS is on...
Warning this is a rant. Does anyone else the general feeling that both
convergence and idempotence as strong features in most configuration
management products (Chef, CFEngine, etc.) being a giant weakness in the
JAMF suite of products at the moment?...
Not sure if this is new or not, but I picked this up on my RSS feeds.
There appears to be a way to get credit via Volume Purchase Program for
iLife and iWork licenses on hardware from October 2013 onward. This

EDIT: I have taken out the majority of this post. Start packaging
receipts with an AppleID you control and control your users access to

No argument against a configuration management product
(cfengine/chef/puppet) + munki/casper (which is exactly where I'm
going). It's just at a certain point you start ticking boxes that were
core reasons to use Casper with other products. 6 or 7 yea...
For those using /etc/rc.server workarounds... make sure you append
/usr/sbin/BootCacheControl jettison to the file if it exists. Most
clients will not have it, but anyone that is using OS X Server.app will
already have an /etc/rc.server with server t...
MDM solutions can provide a backdoor to bypass activation locks without
an AppleID on iOS devices or remove it entirely. Not sure on the Mac
side, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's possible to get Apple to
unlock a computer after validating ownersh...
