Hi guys,
Anyone know where the command: sudo softwareupdate -d -a Downloads updates too?
I'm looking at utilising iHook to assist with patch management & user notification. i.e. it'll report back how many cached packages there are & how many downloaded updates then install at the logout/restart/shutdown triggers.

Tom,
I ran the command and it downloads the updates to the Downloads folder of the user who is logged in. so for me it downloaded it to /Users/gallaghersj/Downloads I don’t know what would happen if you ran this command against someone's machine remotely through ssh or something.

I would think it would end up in that users' downloads folder. If it's a hidden ssh account it would be in /var/<accountname>/downloads.

It appears to download to /Library/Updates/
Thanks all!
