We have a problem where sometimes our AD binding isn't creating a mobile account when a user logs in. I believe it to be caused by network latency, but haven't been able determine a root cause. Today I was poking around in Jamf's config profile menus and found under Mobility the option to require them to be mobile configs. What is the impact of using this in conjunction with our ad binding which is also supposed to be requiring mobile accounts to be created?
Under the Rules tab, there's some options for sync. I don't really understand what it's asking about at least in context to the mobile accounts. Can anybody shed some light on this or perhaps have a KB article for how to setup and use these config profile options?
