I'm trying to create a package to deploy Lync via Self Service. I have created two, but neither one will deploy anything. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I did one with snapshots and with the other I used the M$ DMG file. When I "install" from self service, it runs but nothing called Lync shows up in Applications. Any thoughts?

I just uploaded the mpkg to Casper Admin, then installed It via a policy.
Nothing extra needed to be done with the mpkg.

Not the same as you but, I install lync the build and I use the straight lync.mpkg from MS.

Thanks gachowski, but how do you push the MS mkpg file? I need it to silently install with no user intervention.

It is in my build, I have never pushed it to a machine, I was just suggesting that you give the .mpkg file a try, sorry

Thanks for the quick response. I was over thinking it. I dragged and dropped the mkpg to Casper Admin, created a policy to install it and it worked. Thanks!

Earlier this year I went through an upgrade from Messenger to Lync and documented it in a July 2012 MacTech article. If you have access to that article it may give you some ideas.
As part of the process I posted my Lync information with a setup script:

I have tried putting the Lync .mkpg into casper admin, and deploying it. It seems to install correctly, but when I start it I get a screen to accept or decline the licensing agreement. I select to accept and then Lync closes. I try it again and it does the same thing over again. Any suggestions?
